Builder-Grade Stair Capping & Railing Installation

We upgraded existing builder-grade interior stairs with prefinished hardwood treads, risers, custom newel posts, and metal baluster railings. My brother and I took on this stair remodeling project for my former high school teacher and his wife. The homeowners prefinished all the stair parts before install day, enabling a seamless, efficient turnaround. We capped the existing rough steps with rich dark-stained treads and risers, anchored sturdy newel posts, and fit the custom handrail system. Prefinishing materials offsite made for a clean, fast carpentry install.
