01 · ABOUT THIS PROJECT

We built the complete structural framing for this semi-detached home addition in Toronto, starting from the foundation up to the roof deck. Working on a semi-detached property, one of the heaviest and most demanding steps was assembling and installing the fire stop drywall along the party wall before lifting the heavy wall sections into place. Our rough carpentry scope included anchor-bolting sill plates, setting floor joists, installing subfloor sheathing, raising exterior stud walls with structural headers, framing insulated basement walls, and building the roof framing with plywood decking.
