Muskoka Cottage House Raising & Addition

01 · ABOUT THIS PROJECT

We raised this Muskoka lake cottage to build a new ground level underneath while preserving the finished upper floor intact. Using heavy structural lifting techniques, steel support beams, and cribbing stacks, our team elevated the original building safely. We then formed and poured the foundation, framed the new lower living area, and built a custom entrance foyer addition. From structural carpentry and roof framing tie-ins to deck construction, this major structural lift doubled the cottage's footprint without losing its original character.
