Custom White Oak Bedroom Entryway on Oakwood Cres.

I installed this custom stain-grade white oak entryway portal to elevate the primary bedroom entrance on Oakwood Crescent. The portal features 3/4” white oak veneer MDF backer panels paired with 1 1/2” rabbeted framing that maintains a crisp 1/2” interior reveal throughout. Using G-2 epoxy and wood glue, I secured the entire assembly without leaving a single visible fastener on the exposed wood surfaces. The frame was carefully aligned to hold a consistent 5/8” projection past the drywall, creating the perfect tolerance for tear-away bead and mud finishing to a precise 1/2” reveal as specified.
