01 · ABOUT THIS PROJECT

We framed this custom one-storey rear addition with a loft in Oakville, featuring cathedral ceilings and an open-concept layout. Our carpentry work included installing flush steel beams to carry the main floor, creating a seamless open space. We constructed the cathedral ceiling with an LVL ridge beam and framed cutouts for twin skylights to maximize natural light. On the exterior, we installed ZIP R-sheathing for thermal and moisture protection, executing a clean gable roof tie-in to seamlessly connect the new addition with the existing home.
