Custom Fireplace Mantle & Surround Build-Out

I built and installed a custom fireplace mantel surround in this sitting room, transforming the existing inset fireplace. The project involved constructing solid timber framing around the exposed brick, ensuring everything was plumb, level, and squared to the existing walls. I installed drywall boarding and corner beads, followed by thorough taping, mudding, and sanding for smooth, clean lines. After completing the drywall finishing, I primed and painted the surround to seamlessly match the adjacent custom cabinetry and trim work.
