Custom 7'x7' Basement Sauna Installation

We completed this custom 7’x7’ basement sauna installation from rough framing and insulation to final cedar panelling and bench construction. Using a SaunaFin kit, we framed, insulated, and foil-sealed the room before lining the walls and ceiling in tongue-and-groove cedar. Rather than using standard L-brackets, we custom-built robust floating waterfall benches on site for extra structural strength and a clean look. The finished build includes integrated under-bench lighting, slatted floor duckboards, and a heater, conveniently located in the basement next to the walkout and bathroom.
