Timber Retaining Wall Replacement for Backyard Patio

We demolished a failing backyard retaining wall and built a durable new timber retaining wall to frame and support this paver patio. To ensure a solid, long-lasting foundation, we excavated the perimeter and installed a 3/4 clear gravel base. The new wall was constructed using sturdy 6x6 pressure-treated wood timbers securely anchored with rebar spikes and 10-inch screws. Finally, we backfilled behind the timber structure with gravel to provide proper drainage and soil stability around the patio.
