Daniel MacEnchroeI built this custom heavy timber frame firewood shed on a lakeside patio to store firewood and conceal an outdoor hose bib and electrical plug. The client requested substantial, heavy-duty timbers for a distinctive look by the waterfront. Constructed with traditional timber framing techniques, the structure features solid posts, custom joinery details, slatted side rails for ventilation, and a pitched wood shingle roof. It provides durable, covered firewood storage right next to the outdoor fire pit while keeping utility connections tidy and hidden from view.

That’s the dream - tools, timber, and a lake view 👊🔥

What a wicked view! There is nothing better than starting up in the morning with the sun coming up over the lake!

Yeah, from a napkin drawing and glass of wine with the client to onsite tweaks with client input. It's a mix of traditional joinery and modern fasteners to help keep everything solid and tight next too the lake with Canadian winters.

Cool wood shed! Did you design it? Hard to tell from the pics, what joinery did you employ?
