Custom Black Walnut Chest with Coopered Lid

I built this custom handcrafted storage chest from solid black walnut, featuring exposed box joints and a curved coopered lid. For this carpentry project, I carefully laid out and matched the natural walnut grain across the body and curved top. The coopered lid was assembled with hydraulic hinges for smooth, controlled motion. Supported by a profiled arched base and accented with heavy-duty black hardware, the finished piece serves as a durable, timeless heirloom chest for my client.
