Dockside Welding is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated, dependable Structural Steel Welder/Fitter to join our team. We build custom steel docks, structures and metal fabrication projects that require skill and craftsmanship. We’re looking for someone who: - Takes pride in producing high-quality work. - Is honest, dependable, and willing to learn. - Works well with others and values being part of a close-knit team. - Has critical problem solving skills - Is comfortable working in a marine setting, year round Whether you’re an experienced structural welder or someone with construction experience looking to grow into the trade, we’d like to hear from you. What We Offer - $28+/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. - Permanent, full-time, year-round employment. - No seasonal layoffs—we keep our team working all year. - Paid overtime. - Healthcare spending account after one year. - Work clothing allowance after six months. - 20% employee discount at Mark’s Work Wearhouse (Bracebridge). - Modern equipment - Opportunities to earn additional certifications and expand your skills. - Opportunities for advancement with within Dockside Welding, and with our excavation and landscape company Qualifications - Full G Driver’s Licence. - CWB certification (or willingness to obtain). - Pleasure Craft Operator Card (commercial SVOP is an asset but not required). - 1-2 years of experience in structural steel, construction, heavy equipment, carpentry, fabrication, or another skilled trade. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings is considered an asset - Strong attention to detail. - Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
