01 · ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The town of Bracebridge hired us to remove a piece of concrete from the wharf. The floods of 2019 broke off a concrete pier due to the volume of water flowing through the falls. We brought out 31x60 foot barge all the way up the river. We borrowed the small tug boat from our dock company and tied it up tight to the big tug so we could operate them as if it was a twin screw boat. That allowed us to make some of the tight corners on the river. Our 14 ton excavator couldn’t budge it, so we used a product called NxBurst to crack it in half. Once we got it on board, we pushed back out the river and offloaded it at a commercial landing on Lake Muskoka into one of our trucks to dispose of.
