We completed marine concrete removal and barging services for the Town of Bracebridge to clear a damaged pier from the wharf near the falls. After the 2019 floods broke off a large concrete pier, we brought our 31x60-foot barge up the river using two tugboats tied together to navigate tight river bends. When our 14-ton excavator couldn’t budge the heavy mass, we used NxBurst to crack the concrete in half. Once loaded onto the deck, we pushed back down the river, offloaded at a commercial landing on Lake Muskoka, and hauled it away for disposal.

We completed this waterfront cottage fire demolition and site clearing project on a steep slope overlooking the lake. Because the concrete foundation also serves as the retaining wall for the hillside material, we carefully removed all burnt debris while leaving the concrete intact for reevaluation. We built a temporary road to access the difficult grade, then used a skid steer with a grapple bucket to haul debris up to roll-off bins staged in the upper parking area. After a couple of days, the footprint was completely cleared down to clean ground.
