Built by
Cam FletcherThis project was a boathouse on Georgian Bay. All above-grade and frost walls made from precast concrete, timeline from beginning of dig to erection of precast and steel roof members was four days with four guys. This building has six garage doors for boat access and storage, plus two in-floor vaults for a winch system to lower boats into the water. As the Site Super I led crews of trades in all aspects of the build, working on the tools and providing leadership through guidance and coordination. I also sourced and set up relationships with new subcontractors. Roof framing was completed by our crew of local carpenters. All siding and soffit were milled from white cedar harvested from the site. All flashings and fascia’s are copper. The precast system is the Kiwi Condo system manufactured by Kiwi Newton. Excavation by Chapple’s, all mechanical by McKenzie Mechanical. Masonry knee walls were done by MPD Masonry. Flatwork by Grey County Concrete, Hemlock garage doors supplied and installed by Everlast Garage Doors Plus, Internorm windows and doors. Roof is a TPO system by installed by Nedlaw Roofing
