We’re Hiring: Skilled Construction Worker – Custom Homes & Renovations Job Type: Full-time Location: Multiple Job Sites (Vehicle Required) At MGB Building Group, we specialize in transforming luxury residential concepts into reality through custom home builds, high-end renovations, condo makeovers, and select commercial work. We’re looking for a Skilled Construction Worker who brings hands-on experience and a commitment to quality. This role is best suited for someone with a background in construction, general labour, and trades, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. In this position, you’ll work alongside project managers and site supervisors, contributing to all stages of construction—from demolition through to the final finishes. Responsibilities: - Perform a wide range of tasks including carpentry, tile work, demo, drywall, and general labour to support ongoing construction projects - Handle day-to-day construction labourer duties such as site cleanup, installing floor protection, minor framing, and assisting other trades as needed - Pick up and deliver materials to various job sites and occasionally assist with basic warehouse duties related to tools and material organization - Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and office staff to ensure timely and high-quality execution - Maintain a safe and clean job site, following all safety protocols and contributing to job site security and orderliness - Communicate effectively with subcontractors and other trades to ensure project milestones are met - Troubleshoot on-site issues and support smooth daily operations - Visit job sites daily and report progress using our digital platform (BuilderTrend) - Upload Daily Logs and complete To-Do tasks through the platform to ensure project transparency and tracking Qualifications: - 5–6 years of hands-on experience in residential construction - Previous work in general labour, construction labourer, or labourer roles on custom home or renovation projects - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints - High work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to doing things right the first time - Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and site best practices - Basic computer skills and ability to use construction software (BuilderTrend preferred or willing to learn) - Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Must own a vehicle and hold a valid G driver’s license Compensation: Negotiable and based on experience.
