This role is ideal for an experienced framing carpenter or finish carpenter with strong residential construction and renovation experience who can deliver accurate, safe, and efficient work on custom homes across the GTA. Responsibilities - Perform all aspects of wood framing: walls, floors, roofs, and structural components - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans - Cut, shape, and assemble lumber and materials using hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment - Ensure work meets Ontario Building Code, safety standards, and MGB quality requirements - Assist with layout, squaring, shoring, and bracing on site - Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to meet project timelines - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site - Report material shortages, design concerns, and safety issues promptly Qualifications - 5–10 years of experience as a Carpenter / Framer / Finish Carpenter in residential construction - Experience framing older Toronto homes and working on full gut interior renovations and additions - Strong knowledge of building codes, structural framing, and renovation techniques - Proficiency with carpentry tools (saws, nail guns, levels, squares, etc.) - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings - Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions - Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required) - Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Compensation Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Why Join MGB Construction?
