Independent AV & Home Automation Contractors

Job Description

OnHive is looking to build a network of experienced independent contractors to support ongoing and upcoming residential and commercial technology projects. This is not a traditional full-time employment position. We are seeking reliable freelance/1099-style professionals who are interested in project-based work and flexible collaboration opportunities. What We’re Looking For We’re interested in contractors with experience in: - AV (Audio/Video) installation and integration - Home automation systems - Lutron lighting/shade systems - Control4 systems - Networking and smart home infrastructure - System troubleshooting and service work - Rack installation, wiring, and equipment setup Ideal Candidates - Have hands-on field experience with AV or smart home projects - Be able to work independently and professionally with clients - Have their own tools, ladders, and installation equipment - Have a reliable work vehicle/truck for transporting materials and equipment - Be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented - Be comfortable working on-site at residential and commercial locations Contractor Details When applying, please include: - Your hourly rate or preferred pricing structure - General availability (days/times and estimated weekly capacity) - Areas you service - Relevant certifications or system experience - Resume, portfolio, or project examples if available Work Structure - Flexible, project-based opportunities - No fixed 40-hour commitment required - Opportunities may range from single-day service calls to larger installations - Competitive compensation based on experience and specialization - We’re looking to build long-term relationships with skilled professionals we can rely on as projects scale.
