Location: Barrie, Ontario Start Date: As soon as possible Compensation: $75,000 – $95,000 + $300/month car allowance Reports to: Site Superintendent. We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Assistant Site Supervisor – Low Rise to join our Barrie team. You will support the Site Superintendent in the day-to-day execution of low-rise residential construction projects (townhomes and similar mid-rise developments starting at 2–6 storeys).This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to grow with a rapidly expanding builder backed by strong investment and a healthy pipeline (~1,000 units in Simcoe and ~1,500 in Niagara, with additional mid-rise towers planned).You will play a key role in delivering high-quality homes while living our philosophy: Build wow, present now, and deliver a wow experience you’d be proud to stand behind. Key Responsibilities - Assist the Site Superintendent in overseeing all on-site construction activities for low-rise residential projects, ensuring work meets quality standards, schedules, and specifications. - Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades, fostering strong relationships and clear communication. - Monitor daily progress, identify issues early, and help implement solutions to keep projects moving forward. - Support quality control, inspections, and deficiency management to deliver homes we’re proud of. - Help enforce health & safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized job site. - Assist with scheduling, material coordination, and documentation (daily logs, reports, etc.). - Collaborate closely with internal teams (project management, sales, customer care) and external partners. - Contribute to a positive, proactive site culture aligned with our “one team” approach. - Support the transition of units through to customer handover with attention to detail and care. Qualifications & Experience - 3+ years of experience in residential construction, ideally with exposure to low-rise, townhome, or wood-frame projects. - Previous site supervision, assistant superintendent, or strong lead hand/foreman experience is an asset. - Solid understanding of construction practices, building codes, and quality standards in Ontario. - Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with trades, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams. - Comfortable using construction management software and basic computer tools (training provided as needed). - Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation (car allowance provided). - Safety certification (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights, or equivalent) is an asset.
