Drop Stair Dock

A funky fun one from last year. Clients live in a section of river that has 15' of water fluctuation. Access can be difficult low season so this was the solution that we came up with. The stairs are raised with a winch for the high season, safety chains are added and tension is released from the winch. During low season, they can be lowered to allow safe access down the granite. This spring, the river tested our design while it reached the platform height and survived the raging current of spring thaw.
