Custom High-Performance Modern Farmhouse Residence in Mulmur Featuring a Thoughtfully Engineered Combination of Timber-Aluminum and uPVC-Aluminum Window & Door Systems

This project in Mulmur was especially exciting for us, as we had the pleasure of working once again with a returning homeowner on the construction of her new custom home. Designed in a modern farmhouse style, the home incorporates extensive wood detailing and warm earthy tones throughout the architectural and interior design palette. To complement this aesthetic while maintaining high energy efficiency standards, the homeowner selected timber-aluminum window and door systems throughout most of the residence. In colder and moisture-prone areas such as the garage, bathrooms, and mudroom, we strategically transitioned to uPVC-aluminum systems instead. This combination allowed for a more thoughtful and performance-driven design approach while also creating valuable cost savings opportunities. From the exterior, both the timber-aluminum and uPVC-aluminum systems maintain the same refined appearance, ensuring complete visual consistency across the home — something the homeowner greatly appreciated. We worked closely with the client throughout the entire process, as she was highly involved in every stage of building her future high-performance home. Together, we carefully value engineered the window and door package through thoughtful product and design recommendations to align with both the project vision and budget requirements. The homeowner’s builder completed the installation, while our team remained actively involved by visiting the site multiple times to review workmanship, answer technical questions, and provide ongoing after-sales support where needed. Overall, the client was extremely pleased not only with the final product selection, but also with the level of guidance, flexibility, and support provided throughout the project.
