Farr MechanicalFarr Mechanical played a key role in the development of the new geothermal infrastructure at Western University, focusing on the installation of the central manifold and distribution piping network. Our scope involved the assembly and installation of large-scale header systems designed to connect and balance multiple geothermal circuits across the site. Precision was critical to ensure proper flow distribution, system efficiency, and long-term performance. The distribution piping was executed with a strong emphasis on layout accuracy, joint integrity, and coordination with the broader mechanical and civil scope. Given the scale of the system, maintaining consistency across all connections and ensuring accessibility for future service were key considerations. This phase of the project formed the backbone of the geothermal system, requiring a high level of planning, execution, and quality control to ensure the infrastructure performs as intended for years to come.
