This 5,700 sq ft custom home, completed in 2021, was a modern farmhouse designed with a strong emphasis on open space, clean lines, and structural detail. The build included a fully finished basement, bringing both functional living space and structural complexity to the project. The framing scope featured extensive use of structural steel to achieve large open spans and expansive window openings, allowing for a bright, open-concept layout throughout. Careful coordination between wood framing and steel installation was critical to maintaining alignment, load transfer, and overall build quality. The design blended traditional farmhouse elements with modern execution, requiring precise layout and attention to detail at every stage. From complex rooflines to integrated structural components, this project reflects Vandervecht Carpentry’s ability to execute high-end custom homes with accuracy, efficiency, and a strong understanding of both conventional and engineered framing systems
