We recently completed a full mechanical design and installation for a unique property, featuring a 10-ton vertical geothermal system to provide efficient heating and cooling. The geothermal system serves two dedicated water-to-air heat pumps, each supplying one of the fire-separated guest homes, and a water-to-water geothermal unit delivering hydronic heating throughout the building. In addition to the geothermal system, we facilitated all other major mechanical components, including: -Full duct distribution systems with fire dampers for life safety compliance -Gas infrastructure to serve the boiler and other appliances -Refrigeration systems for the heat pumps -Backup boiler system, which also serves as the primary heat source for the snowmelt system The snowmelt system ensures that the parking pads, stairs, and walkways remain clear and safe during winter by automatically melting ice and snow. To complete the system, we integrated an ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator) for balanced fresh air ventilation and steam humidifiers to maintain proper indoor humidity levels. Together, these systems ensure year-round comfort, energy efficiency, and reliability for the entire property.
