Thank you. I myself personally fabricated the octagonal king post and the log posts. The other components i.e. rafters and beams, were cut by myself and the rest of the small shop crew. I worked under the shop supervisor with a small crew in the installation of the project. And then was essentially a lead, in his absence, to finish off install after the initial raising of posts and the roof structure. So, scribing knee braces etc. Typical timber framing tools were used such as circular saws (Mafell, Makita), routers (for any pockets/ housings), electric chainsaw (for the log posts) and framing chisels and block planes (for cleaning up all pockets / housings). I'd say for this project in particular it was more power tools than hand. However, for the king post I would say 50/50 as I used a chisel and block plane for a smoother finish look on the top and any angled cuts. Did'nt use the mortiser on this one, but certainly would for deeper pockets to house tenons :)

Another beautiful one! What was your role here? Did everything? What tools, how much hand vs power tool? Use a chain mortiser?
