Honour The Work is a registered Canadian charity. We have created turnkey, curriculum-aligned, hands-on STEAMS Kits for grades 1-6 in Ontario and Alberta, and K-5 in British Columbia. Lessons introduce students to STEAM careers in the skilled trades, engineering, and construction sector through interdisciplinary, experiential classroom activities. We have curated 18 skilled trades children's books which align with lessons and are diverse in career, gender and culture. In addition to the hand-on materials in the grade-level kit, we also integrate entrepreneurship, innovation, math and science simulations, and careers videos into the lessons. Our goal is to explicitly connect classroom learning with career pathways and real world applications. We have also partnered with school districts, polytechnics, construction associations, and industry members to provide experiential skilled trades learning opportunities that directly connect educators to workforce. Our website provides skilled trades resources to help students, parents and educators find the information and contacts they need to begin an apprenticeship.
